Fans of the manga can expect an adaptation that stays true to the heartwarming and humorous story. The series follows Takuya and Rika, coworkers at a travel agency in Tokyo. Both content with their single, introverted lives, they are suddenly faced with a career challenge: their company is staffing an office in Siberia, and unmarried employees are being targeted for the transfer. Desperate to avoid relocation, Rika comes up with a bold plan—pretend to be engaged to Takuya and get married within a year. The only catch? They barely know each other! What starts as a fake engagement soon begins to blur the lines between reality and pretense, leading to unexpected developments.

Published in Shogakukan’s Weekly Big Comic Spirits magazine, Wakaki launched the manga in March 2020. The series concluded with its 11th volume in July 2023, marking the end of a successful run. Seven Seas has licensed the manga, bringing the charming romance to English-speaking audiences.

The live-action adaptation of 365 Days to the Wedding made its debut in October 2022, further expanding the reach of Wakaki’s delightful tale. Now, with the anime on the horizon, fans are eagerly awaiting to see how Takuya and Rika’s fake relationship plays out on screen—will it lead to something real?

The buzz surrounding the anime is only growing, and with a talented cast and crew at the helm, 365 Days to the Wedding is poised to captivate viewers with its unique blend of romance, comedy, and heartfelt moments. Be sure to mark your calendars for its October 3 premiere!
