Kaithi 2 will serve as a prequel, delving into the backstory of Dilli, one of the central characters. Following the success of Vikram, the scale of Kaithi 2 has been significantly expanded, with production set to begin after the completion of Leo and another project with Rajinikanth, titled Coolie.

In a first for Thalapathy Vijay, Leo will receive a sequel, marking his entry into sequel territory. Confirmed by Lokesh in December 2023, Leo 2 will be developed after the director completes his commitments to Thalaivar 171 and Kaithi 2. Fans can expect another action-packed installment that continues the gripping storyline introduced in Leo.
